EgyptAir (MS, Cairo International) has disclosed a firm order for six incremental A350-900s from Airbus, increasing the carrier's commitment for the type to 16 units.
"Today’s announcement reflects our commitment to integrating the next-generation aircraft into our fleet. It will enable us to meet rising demand for long-haul travel, support our network expansion plans over the next five years," said the chairman and chief executive, Ahmed Adel.
The Egyptian flag carrier ordered the first ten A350-900s in 2023. It expects the deliveries to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The airline's current widebody fleet comprises five A330-200s, four A330-300s, five B777-300ERs, and eight B787-9s.
