Vista America has phased out the only G400 it operated while also transferring three Citation Excel from the Part 135 certificate of Red Wing Aviation to JetSelect Aviation, thereby introducing the type into JetSelect's Part 135 fleet, ch-aviation research reveals.

The Gulfstream Aerospace aircraft, N960JS (msn 1521), is 20.5 years old and is configured to seat up to 13 passengers. It was last active under the 'EDG' code for Jet Edge, one of the operating carriers for Vista America, on January 5, 2025, flying between Kona and Van Nuys. On January 21, it flew for the first time under the 'MVJ' code for Mira Vista Aviation to San José Cabo.

Currently not listed as a Part 135-certified aircraft, it is the first G400 operated by Mira Vista Aviation. The company's Part 135 fleet includes a G300, a G350, three GIV-SPs, a GV, a G550, a G650, a G650ER, a Global 5000, two Global 7500s, and a Citation Jet 4. ch-aviation has reached out to Mira Vista Aviation to clarify whether the aircraft will be operated under Part 135 regulations.

With the G400’s retirement, Jet Edge's Part 135 fleet now comprises six G280s, a G550, a G650ER, a Global 7500, and a Legacy 650. In addition to the Gulfstream jets under Jet Edge’s certificate, Vista America’s fleet includes 22 aircraft of this manufacturer under JetSelect's certificate, consisting of a G300, ten GIV-SPs, eight G450s, and three GVs.

Meanwhile, Vista America has transferred three Citation Excel jets - N264VR (msn 560-5264), N286VR (msn 560-5286), and N643TX (msn 560-5295) - from Red Wing's Part 135 certificate to JetSelect's. Manufactured in 2002, these aircraft are configured to seat up to seven passengers. All three ceased operations under Red Wing's 'LAK' code in early January 2025 and became active under JetSelect's 'VJA' code between late January and early February.

As a result, Red Wing's Part 135 certificate now includes six Citation Excel, though one has recently started operating under JetSelect Aviation’s 'VJA' code. The transfer marks the first time JetSelect has operated Citation aircraft since becoming part of Vista America. Additionally, JetSelect operates another unit which has been recently removed from Red Wing's certificate and is not currently listed as Part 135-certified.

ch-aviation has contacted Vista America regarding the group's Citation Excel fleet and the future of Red Wing Aviation’s Part 135 certificate.

Beyond the aircraft operated by Jet Edge, Red Wing, and the Gulfstream and Citation Excel jets under JetSelect's certificate, Vista America's Part 135 fleet includes thirty-five Challenger 300s, ten Challenger 350s, a Challenger 3500, six Global 5000s, and three Global 7500s, all operated by JetSelect, as well as two CRJ200LRs and twenty-one Citation X under the Part 135 certificate of XOJET Aviation.
