Sierra Aviation has secured air operator's certificate (AOC) #TR-AT-105 from the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation (Sivil Havacılık Genel Müdürlüğü - SHGM) following the induction of a GIV-SP, ch-aviation research reveals.

The 22.7-year-old Gulfstream Aerospace aircraft, TC-EMR (msn 1481), is configured for up to 14 passengers and is based at Istanbul Atatürk. It was previously operated under the AOC of Zafer Air (HMZ, Ankara Esenboga), which includes two additional GIV-SPs.

One of these, 23.6-year-old TC-DMR (msn 1456), seating up to 13 passengers, is also listed on Sierra Aviation's website. Imported into Türkiye from the United States earlier this year, the jet is not flying under Zafer Air's HMZ code, unlike the rest of the fleet. It remains unclear whether it has been, or will be, added to Sierra Aviation's AOC.

Sierra Aviation was established in 2024 as a private jet charter and air ambulance specialist and is headquartered in Ankara. In addition to Sierra Aviation and Zafer Air, five other Turkish AOC holders operate the GIV-SP variant. Bonair (Türkiye) and Genel Havacilik each operate two aircraft, while Alfa Jet, BKNJET, and CKD Aviation operate one.

Two earlier GIV variants are managed in Türkiye by ACM Air (Türkiye) and CKD Aviation, with the latter's GIV and GIV-SP operating on behalf of Istanbul Airlines. Meanwhile, the G450, an upgraded version of the GIV-SP, is flown by AirENKA, Genel Havacilik, Körfez Havacilik, REC Havacilik, Redstar Aviation, added earlier this year, and VatanJet, each with one aircraft, while Zafer Air operates three, including one on behalf of the Kyrgyz government.
