Aero (United States of America) (5E, San Francisco) is set to launch semi-private scheduled operations to Hawaii this autumn with a new GIV, the company announced.

The service will connect Van Nuys with Kahului every Saturday, with return flights on Sundays. Reservations are open on Aero's website starting November 22, until April 4, 2026. Kahului on the island of Maui joins mainland destinations the company serves out of Van Nuys, including Aspen, Las Vegas Harry Reid, Napa, Salt Lake City, San José, US, Sun Valley, Teterboro, and Palm Springs Jacqueline Cochran Regional.

Although details concerning the new GIV remain undisclosed, Aero confirmed to ch-aviation that it will operate on other long-haul routes, including Teterboro. The aircraft will mark the introduction of Gulfstream Aerospace operations to Aero's fleet. As of July, the company's Part 135 certificate, held under USAC Airways 695, LLC, comprised four 16-seat E135s and a Legacy 600 configured for up to 13 passengers, all available for scheduled flights as well as private and group charters.

In March, Aero was granted commuter air carrier authorisation by the United States Department of Transportation (DOT), allowing it to conduct scheduled passenger flights. The authorisation followed a decision request submitted in February, roughly two-and-a-half years after the company initially applied.
