VietJetAir (VJ, Hanoi Noi Bai International) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Airbus for the potential purchase of 100 A321-200Ns.

Under the new agreement, signed on June 17 during the 2025 Paris Air Show, VietJetAir secured rights to acquire an additional 50 jets in the future, boosting the potential order to 150 airframes.

The carrier did not disclose the timeline for the deliveries.

The ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data module shows that VietJetAir already operates eleven A321-200Ns and twenty-five A321-200NX, alongside seventeen A320-200s, thirty-six A321-200s, and seven A330-300s. The airline is expecting the delivery of seventy-six A321-200NX, twenty A321-200NY(XLR)s, forty A330-900Ns, fifty B737-8s, and 100 B737-8-200s.
