Jet Aviation (Malta) (JML, Malta International) has ceased Gulfstream Aerospace operations, having retired its only GVII-G500 and only GVII-G600, ch-aviation research shows.
The Gulfstream GVII-G500, 9H-OST (msn 72044), was last active under Jet Aviation Malta's 'JML' code on November 25, 2024, completing a roundtrip between Vienna and Milan Linate. A month later, on December 26, the 4.7-year-old ultra-long-range jet became active under Avcon Jet Malta's 'VCJ' code on a flight to Manchester International. The aircraft, configured for up to 14 passengers, returns to Avcon Jet Malta's fleet after having operated for the carrier between February 2023 and April 2024. Before that, it was operated also by Jet Aviation Malta since 2020.
Avcon Jet Malta's fleet has now expanded to 13 aircraft, including a Citation Sovereign+, two Citation XLS, a Falcon 2000LXS, the newly added GVII-G500, two G650s, a G650ER, a Global 5000, three Global 6000s, and a Pilatus PC-24. Other divisions of Avcon Jet operate more Gulfstream Aerospace aircraft.
Jet Aviation Malta also retired GVII-G600 9H-ITW (msn 73070), which becomes the first Gulfstream Aerospace aircraft to be operated by Italy's Leader.
Re-registered as I-WATT, the aircraft became active on January 12, 2025, flying between Geneva and Cuneo. The 2.8-year-old ultra-long-range jet, configured for up to 13 passengers, had been operated since new by Jet Aviation Malta. The aircraft's last flight under the company's 'JML' code was on November 25, 2024, from Sofia to Geneva.
This GVII-G600 joins a fleet that was composed exclusively of Dassault Aviation aircraft, including a 12-seater Falcon 900EX and four 10-seater Falcon 2000s, averaging 22.6 years old.
Jet Aviation Malta now operates an 11.4-year-old B737-700(BBJ) and a 4.7-year-old PC-12. Other divisions of Jet Aviation Business Jets will continue to operate other Gulfstream aircraft.
