TAG Aviation España (Madrid Torrejón) will be dismantled, its parent company TAG Aviation (Geneva) has announced. The decision to exit from the Spanish market is part of a move to consolidate its operations. CEO Daniel Christe said that the limited market in Spain "no longer justified the cost to support a stand-alone AOC".
Parent company TAG Aviation is a Swiss-based business and executive jet specialist which operates under several AOCs through its units which include TAG Aviation (United Kingdom) (VIP, Farnborough) and TAG Aviation (Malta) (TEU, Malta International) in Europe, and TAG Aviation Asia (TBJ, Hong Kong International) and TAG Aviation Middle East (Bahrain International).
In his statement, Christe said that current TAG Aviation España clients would now have the option of moving their aircraft to one of TAG's other subsidiaries.
