China Airlines (CI, Taipei Taoyuan) is set to début Hanamaki's first international services with a twice weekly roundtrip flight to Taipei Taoyuan. WCARN says the flights will run from April 17 to June 19. Only Fuji Dream Airlines (JH, Shizuoka) and JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda) currently operate scheduled flights out of Hanamaki. Located in Iwate Prefecture, Hanamaki is a popular tourist destination for Taiwanese tourists, especially in the cherry blossom season.
