Liquidators have been appointed for Loch Lomond Seaplanes (Glasgow International) following a petition to wind up the company, which ceased trading on April 11, 2025, according to ch-aviation research.
A regulatory filing published in The Edinburgh Gazette on July 8 confirms that Kenneth Robert Craig of Begbies Traynor (Central) was appointed as liquidator on June 4 by the Dumbarton Sheriff Court. The appointment followed a petition filed on April 23 by the Advocate General for Scotland on behalf of His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
A notice published on the company’s website states that it has ceased trading and adds that "someone" would be in touch "in the near future" to assist affected ticket holders.
Founded in 2003, Loch Lomond Seaplanes suspended operations and its operating licence in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic but relaunched in 2022. The company had planned to expand its fleet with at least two electric seaplanes from Fremont Group Management.
