Baoneng Jet (BNH, Guangzhou) has phased out the sole aircraft it operated, a G550, ch-aviation research reveals.

B-3275 (msn 5564), configured for up 14 passengers, was last active under Baoneng Jet's 'BNH' code on July 30, 2024, flying between Lijiang and Shenzhen, where it was based. After five months of inactivity, it departed to Singapore Seletar on December 21 and completed a roundtrip to Tianjin between December 25 and 26.

The G550 has since been reregistered in the Cayman Islands as VP-CYC and, although it has yet to enter service, will join the fleet of Donghai Jet as the company's first Gulfstream Aerospace aircraft. The operator's fleet comprises two Chinese-registered Challenger 605s. Donghai Jet is a subsidiary of scheduled passenger carrier Donghai Airlines, a privately owned company backed by Hong Kong investor Wong Cho Bau, who is also a key figure behind Greater Bay Airlines.

Following the G550's departure, Baoneng Jet no longer operates any aircraft. The company's air operator's certificate (AOC) was secured in November 2017, beginning operations with the G550 in April 2018.

Baoneng Jet is the private jet operator of the Baoneng Group, a conglomerate spanning real estate, finance, and automotive manufacturing. Baoneng Group has faced financial difficulties since 2020 and, as of October 2024, was reportedly involved in 147 ongoing court cases, including a lease dispute between Baoneng Jet and state-owned defence corporation NORINCO.

ch-aviation contacted Baoneng Jet regarding the company's status and future operations but did not receive a response.
