ANA Holdings has placed firm orders for 68 aircraft from Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer, including the first-ever Japanese order for E190-E2 regional jets. They also include A321neo aircraft for LCC subsidiary Peach Aviation (MM, Osaka Kansai) and additional narrowbodies and widebodies for ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda).

The Japanese carrier will add fifteen E190-E2s, each configured for up to 100 passengers, to be delivered starting in the 2028 financial year (April 1, 2028, to March 31, 2029) through financial 2032. ANA also secured five additional options for the type. The carrier said that the aircraft will operate on "ANA-branded domestic routes", hinting that they would be placed with regional subsidiary ANA Wings (EH, Sapporo Chitose).

ANA's current regional fleet comprises twenty-three DHC-8-Q400s operated by ANA Wings with seven more due. The airline does not operate any regional jets. It previously had an order for fifteen M90s but axed it after the manufacturer cancelled the programme.

The order also comprises eighteen new B787-9s with General Electric GEnx engines, due between financial 2028 and financial 2031. In addition, ANA firmed five options for the type it secured in 2019. The carrier's current B787 fleet comprises thirty-four B787-8s, forty-three B787-9s, and eight B787-10s. Most have Rolls-Royce Trent engines, except for three -9s and five -10s with GEnx power units. ANA has unfilled orders for four more -9s (one with Trent engines and three with GEnx) and four -10s (GEnx engines). Leisure subsidiary AirJapan has a further two -8s and one -9.

ANA said that the additional B787s will be dedicated mainly to North American routes out of expanding Tokyo Narita airport.

Finally, the order also comprises narrowbody aircraft, including fourteen A321-200Ns (deliveries between financial 2030 and 2032) and eight B737-8s (due in financial 2029-2033, with four more options) for the mainline, and ten A321-200Ns and three A321-200NY(XLR)s (due in financial 2032) for Peach Aviation. The group also converted ten previously held options for B737-8s. ANA's mainline narrowbody fleet currently comprises eleven A320-200Ns, four A321-200s, twenty-two A321-200Ns, and thirty-nine B737-800s. It had an unfilled order for twenty B737-8s but no direct commitments for any Airbus narrowbodies from the manufacturer, although it expects to lease more A320/1neo.

Peach Aviation currently operates sixteen A320-200s, seventeen A320-200Ns, three A321-200NX(LR)s, and a single Citation Excel business jet. The group said that the newly ordered XLRs will allow Peach to capture new markets beyond the current range.
