My Jet (MYJ, Bucharest Baneasa) is planning to open its first foreign base in 2025 but will provide further information "at an appropriate time" once the decision is taken. The operator also hopes to steadily grow its managed fleet by one to two aircraft per year, its president, Valentin Vișoiu, told Profit.ro, a Romanian business news site.

"We focus both on the Romanian market and on capitalising on the opportunities available in Europe. As for acquisitions, we do not have any plans for 2025 yet, but we are actively monitoring the evolution of the market," he said.

The operator's fleet currently comprises one Citation Jet 1, one Citation Jet 2+, one Citation XLS+, one G200, one HondaJet (APMG), one Phenom 300E, and one Vision Jet G2. All are under management for some of Romania's wealthiest entrepreneurs.

The operator's main base is Bucharest Baneasa, and Vișoiu said that last year My Jet began self-handling at the airport. However, he complained about the poor coordination between commercial and private operations at the airport.

"Baneasa Airport was not designed to simultaneously manage both regular commercial flights and VIP flights. So these two traffic flows interfere, generating both discomfort for our passengers and delays in boarding," he pointed out.

After years of limited and mostly private traffic, Baneasa is currently being upgraded to handle limited passenger traffic. Wizz Air will open a base at the airport on April 1.

The ch-aviation fleets module shows that while most of My Jet's aircraft are based out of Baneasa, the Citation Jet 2+ is based out of Sofia and the Phenom 300E out of Bacau.
