Onyx Air LLC, doing business as Titan Aviation, has resumed commercial flight operations in the United States, by adding a first Learjet 55 under its Part 135 certificate, after an eight-month hiatus without any active certified aircraft, ch-aviation research has revealed.

N117LR (msn 55-075) was added to Onyx Air's certificate in October 2024, with ADS-B data showing the aircraft was first active on November 14, completing a roundtrip between Allentown International and Morristown Municipal. At 41.9 years old, the jet was previously operated privately and has been registered in the United States throughout its service life.

With this addition, Titan Aviation now has an aircraft certified for commuter and on-demand operations in the United States again, after operating a sole 18.4-year-old Hawker 850XP, N314CG (msn 258781), between October 2022 and February 2024. The company conducts commercial operations in the country under Onyx Air LLC’s Part 135 certificate.

Headquartered in Dubai, Titan Aviation specialises in aircraft management, acquisitions and sales, maintenance and private jet charters. The firm manages a diverse fleet through Titan Aviation San Marino (Rimini), which includes aircraft manufactured by Boeing Business Jet, Bombardier Business Aircraft, Dassault Aviation, Gulfstream Aerospace, Embraer Executive Jets, and Hawker Beechcraft.
