ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) will add seven incremental second-hand DHC-8-Q400s under a deal with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada, which will procure the aircraft and refurbish them to the Japanese carrier's specifications.

Deliveries are poised to begin in 2025. The carrier told ch-aviation it will acquire the aircraft from the manufacturer but refused to disclose their identity just yet.

"Our decision to expand the DHC-8-Q400 fleet reflects our ongoing commitment to reliable and economical aircraft that will enhance our existing fleet," Executive Vice-President (Procurement) Hidekazu Yoshida said.

The Japanese carrier currently operates twenty-four DHC-8-Q400s through its regional subsidiary, ANA Wings (EH, Sapporo Chitose). All of the aircraft are owned by ANA Holdings and were delivered directly to ANA Wings (and its predecessor airline A-net - Air Nippon Network). They are currently 15.5 years old on average and seat up to 74 passengers each.
