Gomair (Goma) has acquired two ex-Hunnu Air (MR, Ulaanbaatar) Fokker 50s, Skyliner Aviation has reported.
2-MIES, formerly JU-8883 (msn 20181), and 2-OLGA, formerly JU-8882 (msn 20184), were ferried from Ulaanbaatar to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on July 26/27 via Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev, Trabzon, Luxor, and N'Djamena.
The Fokker Aircraft are the Congolese carrier's first given it has, until now, operated an all-Boeing fleet consisting of one B727-100(M), one B737-200(Adv)., and two B737-300(QC)s.
Gomair specialises in running cargo flights throughout the DRC connecting cities such as Lubumbashi, Kananga, Mbuji Mayi, Mbandaka, Gemena, Goma, Bukavu, Kindu, Kisangani, Isiro, Buta Zega, Tshikapa and others.
