Air2there (Paraparaumu) has been placed into receivership and lost its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC), Stuff has reported.
The receiver has reportedly seized the regional carrier's remaining assets, namely a Piper (twin piston) PA-31 Navajo and its two engines.
The carrier has not been flying since October 2018. Earlier, it used to serve a regional network out of Paraparaumu in the southern part of New Zealand's North Island to Wellington, Masterton, Blenheim, and Palmerston North.
Air2there is privately owned by Richard Baldwin who also used to be the manager of Paraparaumu airport. According to the ch-aviation capacity module, the airport currently also sees scheduled traffic from Air Chathams (3C, Chatham Island) and Sounds Air (S8, Picton). Air New Zealand (NZ, Auckland International) vacated the airport in April 2018.
