Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG, Dhaka) has signed an agreement with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) for the purchase of three Dash 8-400s.
According to the United News of Bangladesh, the government-to-government arrangement will see the three turboprops deliver directly from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) in three phases in 2020.
Biman already operates a pair of Q400s both of which are dry-leased from Egypt's Smart Aviation (SME, Cairo International). They are currently used to connect Dhaka with Barisal, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Jessore, Rajshahi, Saidpur, and Sylhet domestically as well as Kolkata in India and Yangon in Myanmar.
