ASL Group, a Belgo-Dutch business charter specialist holding owning Belgium's ASL airtaxi (BNJ, Liège) and JetNetherlands (JNL, Amsterdam Schiphol), finalised the addition of its maiden Embraer Regional Jet in the form of a E135(ER) PH-DWS (msn 145343) and is currently negotiating the acquisition of a maiden E145, the carrier has said in a statement.
The new ERJ-135, acquired from JetSuiteX Air, although never used by this operator in active service, will be operated under a new Antwerp-based brand ACE - Air Charters Europe but will remain on the JetNetherlands' Air Operator's Certificate (AOC).
JetNetherlands has completely refurbished the jet's interior adapting it to the needs of VIP groups. The carrier's maiden ERJ-135 can seat up to 30 passengers.
"At the moment there are negotiations on a second larger aircraft of the same type that will accommodate 42 people, the ERJ-145. In the medium term, it is the ambition to deploy multiple aircraft that will be stationed on a ‘flex base’ basis at different airports in Europe," CEO of ASL Group and Air Charters Europe Philippe Bodson has said.
The business charter specialist currently operates a variety of business aircraft, including Pilatus Aircraft, Hawker Beechcraft, and Piaggio Aerospace turboprops, as well as Cessna Aircraft Company, Embraer, Bombardier Aerospace, and Dassault Aviation business jets.
