China Air Cargo (ZY, Guangzhou) has secured its public transport business license from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

A decision issued on Monday, November 7, indicates that once all formalities are completed, the cargo carrier will be able to operate domestic Chinese (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) as well as international cargo flights. Operationally, it has been given the go-ahead to induct two B757-200(PF)s as well as MA-600 aircraft.

The ch-aviation aircraft database shows CAC has one B757-25C(PCF) on its books with a second ex-Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) B757-200 currently undergoing conversion in Xiamen.

Formerly AVIC Cargo Airlines (Guangzhou), China Air Cargo is a joint-venture between JoyAir Holdings (45%), Guangzhou Donlinks Group Co.(35%), and the Beijing Fidelity Asset Management Co. (20%).
