Beacon (Boston) says it has signed a USD400 million strategic partnership agreement with Dynamic Aviation (Bridgewater, VA) ahead of its entry into the New York-Boston market later this summer.
Under the agreement, Dynamic Aviation will deliver twenty-seven mid-sized executive aircraft to Beacon over the next three years. It will also maintain and operate the aircraft for the start-up over the next ten years.
Though no exact launch destinations have yet been divulged, Beacon founder and ex-Surf Air CEO, Wade Eyerly, has in the past pointed to Boston and White Plains with seasonal flights to holiday destinations such as Nantucket and the Hamptons.
The launch of planned operations is subject to Dynamic Aviation securing appropriate authority to operate scheduled interstate commuter services from the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Beacon is the latest All-You-Can-Fly membership carrier to launch operations in the US after Surf Air (URF, Santa Monica) in California, RISE (United States of America) (Dallas Love Field) in Texas, and Wheels Up (WUP, Teterboro) in New York.
