Take Air (Antwerp) is a Belgian start-up looking to become Europe's first all-you-can-fly membership airline. Using a fleet of business props - Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 200s and 350s - the carrier will commence scheduled services in March next year with multiple daily flights from Antwerp to Zurich and from Paris to London. In Antwerp, flights will depart from the new General Aviation Terminal (GAT) that will open in 2015.
“Take Air is not just another airline,” Take Air founder and General Manager Matthieu Dardenne said. “It is the first all-you-can-fly membership airline launched in Europe. As a Take Air member, you enjoy unlimited Take Air flights and the best of what aviation currently has to offer: hassle-free air travel that saves time and avoids any unpleasant surprises. It is the ideal solution for anyone who flies a lot for business or personal reasons. Memberships start at EUR1650 (USD2052) per month without any hidden extras.”
TakeAir's business plan is akin to that of California-based Surf Air (URF, Santa Monica) which only a year into its operations, has already seen strong response.
