UTair-Ukraine (Kyiv Boryspil) will launch long-haul charter flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Delhi International likely using B767s later this year, CEO Yury Blazhenkov has confirmed. Following the collapse of Aerosvit Airlines (Kyiv Boryspil) earlier this year, UTair has now become the fourth Ukrainian carrier to express an interest in developing a long haul network after Kharkiv Airlines (Kharkiv), Windrose Airlines (7W, Kyiv Boryspil) and Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kyiv Boryspil). On sourcing the necessary aircraft, Mr Blazhenkov said the 767s would be obtained from his company's Russian parent, UTair (UT, Khanty-Mansiysk). UTair-Ukraine has meanwhile retired its last B737-400 UR-UTG (msn 25377) and has retired the aircraft to the lessor.
