Air Peace (P4, Lagos) has denied news reports that chairman Allen Onyema accused the British authorities of blocking the airline’s UK entry for seven years. The carrier said Onyema never made such claims, instead commending UK regulators for their cooperation. This comes as Air Peace prepares for its inaugural flight between Abuja and London Heathrow on October 26. The airline already serves London Gatwick from Lagos daily since March 2024, initially via a wet-lease deal with Norse Atlantic (United Kingdom) and currently with an in-house B777-200ER, according to ch-aviation data. At the time, Onyema said the airline had accepted Gatwick over Heathrow due to slot issues but criticised the UK for limiting access to London’s main airport despite reciprocal agreements.
