Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International) is facing supply issues for the General Electric Aerospace CF34 turbofans, which is impacting its aircraft production and leading to delivery delays, FlightGlobal reported, quoting the Brazilian manufacturer’s chief executive Francisco Gomes Neto.

“This year [it] has been a big issue for us,” he said, adding that General Electric “is not delivering what we need. They are delivering late,” and that the bottleneck is not focused on one particular point but “changing from one part to another.”

The CF34 engine mainly powers Embraer’s first-generation E-Jets, the E170, E175, E190, and E195. The type also powers other manufacturers’ aircraft, such as Bombardier Aerospace’s Challenger 650s and COMAC’s C909.

The Brazilian company had orders for 208 E175s as of the end of the second quarter of 2025. It aims to deliver up to 85 aircraft of all variants of the E-Jet family, with about 35% (up to 30 aircraft) of these likely being E175s, Gomes Neto told FlightGlobal.
