AJet (Türkiye) (VF, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) has signed separate lease agreements with Avolon and Carlyle Aviation Partners for ten and four A321-200Ns, respectively. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2026 and 2027.

The low-cost carrier did not disclose the engine options for the upcoming jets. ch-aviation asked the airline for comment but it was not immediately available.

The company's decision to take additional dry-leased A321neo aircraft is in line with previously announced plans to reduce its dependency on ACMI capacity. AJet faced technical and maintenance problems with wet-leased aircraft during 2024, and planned to overcome these issues by growing the in-house fleet.

According to the ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data module, AJet's in-house fleet comprises five A320-200s, one A320-200N, and fifteen B737-800s. Parent Turkish Airlines continues to operate an additional 58 aircraft for AJet, including one A320-200, seven A320-200Ns, thirteen A321-200NX, seven B737-8s, and thirty B737-800s. AJet eventually wants to either take these aircraft in-house or stop wet-leasing them from the parent.

AJet is also wet-leasing thirteen jets, mainly A321-200s and B737-8s, from BBN Airlines Türkiye, SmartLynx Airlines, and SmartLynx Airlines Malta.
