YTO Cargo Airlines (YG, Hangzhou) has acquired a B767-300ER(BDSF), its third of the type and aims to put it into service over the next two to three months, according to Cargo Facts.
The aircraft, B-226P (msn 33767), ferried to Guangzhou on May 29, 2025. The 21.6-year-old freighter formerly operated for Ethiopian Airlines as ET-ALJ under a sale and leaseback deal with Titan Aviation Holdings.
The report notes that YTO Cargo Airlines had purchased rather than leased the freighter. YTO Cargo Airlines already operates two B767-300ER(BDSF)s alongside ten B757-200(PCF)s and a single C909(F). Earlier this year, ch-aviation reported that it was looking to grow its widebody fleet.
"I have to say we only have one direction, and that is to go for [large] widebody," said YTO Chairman David Xiufeng Su. "Go big or go home.”
ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Operator Schedule Data indicates that YTO Cargo Airlines operates scheduled freighter services to 25 airports across 13 countries.
