Air Cambodia (K6, Siem Reap) took delivery of its first ATR72-600 on May 27.
The factory-new aircraft (msn 1716) was delivered on a ferry flight from the ATR - Avions de Transport Régional facility in Toulouse Blagnac to Phnom Penh via Cairo International, Dubai World Central, Hyderabad International, and Bangkok Don Mueang under a temporary registration, F-WNUF. It will be reregistered as XU-610 in Cambodia. The aircraft is on lease from Henan Civil Aviation Development Investment Co..
The airline did not respond to ch-aviation's request for comment regarding the aircraft's deployment plans.
Air Cambodia, formerly known as Cambodia Angkor Air, entered into a lease agreement with Henan Civil Aviation Development Investment Co. for three ATR72-600s. Two more units of the type are expected to be delivered by the end of 2025, the Chinese news portal 163.com reported. The ATR is the first aircraft inducted by the airline since its rebranding.
According to the ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data module, Air Cambodia currently operates two A320-200s, one A321-200, and two ATR72-500s.
