The Armenian Civil Aviation Committee has removed Armenia Airways' sole B737-300(F) from the national aircraft registry, leaving it without any operational cargo jet in the fleet. A regulatory filing reveals that EK73750 (msn 27459) had a valid registration until May 9, 2025, and it was not renewed beyond that date.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, the jet was delivered new to Air Malta in 1998 as a B737-300 passenger variant. It was later operated by Air New Zealand from 2008 to 2014 and underwent a freighter conversion in 2015. The aircraft was taken by Texel Air the same year and was subsequently retired in 2024. It is powered by a pair of CFM International CFM56 engines.

Armenia Airways took delivery of EK73750 in October 2024 and planned to commence cargo operations with it. The B737-300(F) entered the Armenian registry on January 14, 2025, but the airline never operated it. It has remained on the ground at Yerevan ever since it was delivered.

ch-aviation asked the airline for a comment on this matter, but it was not immediately available.

Armenia Airways currently operates two B737-300s, which solely service the route Yerevan-Tehran Imam Khomeini. Following the deregistration of EK73750, Hayways remains the country's only operator with a dedicated freighter jet, utilising a single B737-400(SF) to carry goods between Yerevan and Moscow Vnukovo.
