OPUL Jets (London Biggin Hill) has acquired Portuguese private jet charter firm Quinta Jets, whose fleet is operated under the air operator's certificate (AOC) of OMNI Aviação (OAV, Cascais).
"Portugal is a key destination for our clientele", said OPUL Jets' chief executive officer Chris Wall, adding that the acquisition expands the company’s reach throughout Europe. Quinta Jets, which will be fully integrated into OPUL Jets' operations, is based at Faro, near the luxury resort of Quinta do Lago in the Algarve.
The company operates a Learjet 40 and a Learjet 45XR, averaging 16.7 years old and configured for up to eight passengers, both placed on Omni Aviação's Portuguese AOC. Quinta Jets' website lists a second Learjet 45 that has been stored at Cascais since 2018.
The acquisition follows OPUL Jets' recent takeover of Zenith Aviation (United Kingdom), which included the latter's United Kingdom AOC and a fleet comprising a Learjet 45 and two Learjet 75s. OPUL Jets's website also lists a Learjet 40 placed under the AOC of SaxonAir Charter and a Global Express on the AOC of Malta's Av8jet. In 2024, OPUL Jets announced plans to acquire an AOC holder in the European Union.
