Serene Air (ER, Islamabad International) has signed a memorandum of understanding concerning an equity increase with an unnamed investor. The agreement was signed on May 5, 2025, and publicised on the airline's social media platforms.

Serene Air flies to nine airports across Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia with a fleet of seven aircraft, including three A330-200s and four B737-800s. However, the ch-aviation fleets module indicates two of the A330s and three of the B737s are inactive.

"The MOU establishes a framework for partnership aimed at strengthening Serene Air's operational capabilities and supporting its long-term growth," the press release reads. "This collaboration will bolster Serene Air's financial position and support its effort to improve its service offerings in a competitive aviation market."

"We are pleased to take the first step towards a partnership with Serene Air," an unnamed spokesperson for the investors said. "We believe the airline has strong potential for growth, and we look forward to working together to unlock new opportunities in the country."

Serene Air, which commenced operations in 2017, is one of five operational scheduled airlines based in Pakistan. The press release says the parties will now works towards finalising a formal agreement, subject to due diligence and regulatory approvals.
