Loganair (LM, Glasgow International) is set to open a new operating base, its tenth, at Southampton airport. It will launch in October 2025 with two ATR72-600s.
The carrier will also launch a new route from Southampton to Manchester and increase capacity to Edinburgh by replacing the E145 regional jets with ATR72-600s. It will facilitate transfers from the southern English airport via Manchester to destinations in Scotland (Inverness and Aberdeen Dyce) and Isle of Man. Simultaneously, it will launch a new Manchester-Exeter route.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Loganair currently operates 36 aircraft, including four ATR42-500s, two ATR42-600s, four ATR72-500(F)s, nine ATR72-600s, one DHC-6-300, two DHC-6-400s, twelve E145s, and two BN-2s. Its ATR72-600s are currently based out of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow International, Isle of Man, and Kirkwall.
The regional carrier intends to grow its fleet to 55 aircraft by 2029.
