Kaz Air Jet (KEJ, Almaty International) has commenced Bombardier Business Aircraft operations following the addition of a first Challenger 605, ch-aviation research shows.

UP-C6004 (msn 5733), a 17.4-year-old jet configured for up to nine passengers, was first active on December 14, 2024, operating a roundtrip between Almaty International, where it is based, and an undisclosed Central Asian destination. Since January 25, 2025, it has been flying under Kaz Air Jet’s 'KEJ' code, beginning with a flight from Gabala to Hannover. The aircraft has primarily operated within Kazakhstan, as well as to Russia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Previously registered in the Isle of Man as M-ALTI, the Challenger 605 was already based at Almaty International before its reregistration in Kazakhstan.

Kaz Air Jet's fleet also comprises two Citation Jet 3s, a Legacy 600, which was recently added, a Piaggio P180, two Yak-42Ds, and a fleet of helicopters of different types, including the AW119, the B206, and the Mi-8T.
