Fly Sirius (Delhi International) is in advanced discussions with Textron Aviation to acquire twenty Citation Longitude jets for USD600 million, according to the Press Trust of India.
A source told the agency that the deal is expected to be finalised within the next three to four months, with first deliveries anticipated between one and 1.5 years after signing. As part of the negotiations, Textron Aviation conducted a demonstration flight in Dubai with N902CL (msn 700-0002), one of its demonstration Citation Latitudes, which performed several flights around Dubai World Central between January 22 and 28, 2025.
The talks follow the company’s announcement of plans to raise USD100 million to expand the fleet to 50 business jets by March 2028. The growth strategy focuses on small and midsize business jets, as well as aircraft for group charter operations, targeting international markets in the Middle East and Far East.
Fly Sirius began operations in July 2024 with a single 14.9-year-old Hawker 4000 configured for up to nine passengers, currently the only jet in the fleet. The company is a joint venture between Airavat Aviation, a subsidiary of Dubai-based shipping outfit Transworld Group, and Sirius India Airlines Pvt. Ltd, a firm linked to two former SpiceJet executives.
