Luxaviation Germany (LXG, Paderborn/Lippstadt) has retired the only Citation M2 and Citation M2 Gen2 jets it operated, ch-aviation research shows.
The Citation M2, D-IBLU (msn 525-1103), last operated under Luxaviation Germany’s ‘LXG’ code on January 20, 2025, flying between Ostend and Brussels National. Two days later, the 3.2-year-old jet began operations under the 'AAB' code for the Belgian unit of Luxaviation Group, Luxaviation Belgium, on a flight to Kortrijk. The aircraft is configured to seat up to five passengers and is now based at Kortrijk.
The aircraft joins 16 other jets operated by Luxaviation Belgium, including a Citation Jet 1, five Citation Jet 4 Gen2s, a Citation XLS, a Falcon 900LX, four Falcon 7Xs, three Falcon 8Xs, and a Global 5500.
Meanwhile, the Citation M2 Gen2, D-IXON (msn 525-1115), was last active under the company's 'LXG' code on November 28, 2024, flying between Frankfurt International and Zurich. On December 9, the jet was first active under the 'FSE' code for Austrian-based operator AFS Alpine Flightservice, on a flight to Payerne. The 2.6-year-old aircraft, configured to seat up to five passengers, was operated by Luxaviation Germany since November 2023. It had been part of Luxaviation Group since delivery, initially operated by Luxaviation Malta.
This Citation M2 Gen2 joins a Swiss-registered Citation M2 and an Austrian-registered G280 in the fleet of AFS Alpine Flightservice.
Following the two retirements, Luxaviation Germany is now operating a single Citation Jet 2 based at Munich. The jet has been parked at Paris Le Bourget since December 23, 2024.
