Hunnu Air (MR, Ulaanbaatar) plans to take delivery of an E195-E2 in March 2025, according to Singapore-based aviation analyst Brendon Sobie.
Hunnu Air presently operates one inactive ATR42-500 and two E190 aircraft out of Ulaanbaatar on scheduled services to Almaty International, Beijing Daxing International, Manzhouli, Ordos Ejin Horo, and Sanya. It is also planning to launch twice-weekly flights to Kobe in mid-2025. ch-aviation has contacted Hunnu Air for comment.
Aside from Hunnu Air's three aircraft, there are just 18 large aircraft on the Mongolian register, according to the ch-aviation fleets module. They include two A319-100s and two (stored) E145s with Aero Mongolia; one B737-8, three B737-800s, one B757-200(PCF), one B767-300ER, and two B787-9s with state-owned MIAT - Mongolian Airlines; one B737-700 with Eznis Airways is currently wet-leased to Air Peace (P4, Lagos); and one A320-200 with Mongolian Airways Cargo that is presently wet-leased to Bamboo Airways (QH, Hanoi Noi Bai International).
