Afrijet Business Service (J7, Libreville Leon M'Ba) has placed a firm order with ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) for one ATR42-600 with options for one more. The aircraft is scheduled for delivery in 2025, while the option, if firmed, will be delivered in 2026.

The aircraft will be deployed under the recently launched brand FlyGabon (Libreville Leon M'Ba). As the flag carrier does not have its own certificate, all of its flights are operated by Afrijet.

Configured for up to 46 passengers, the Gabonese carrier will use the new turboprop to replace its only ATR42-500 - TR-AGB (msn 633) - which is 19 years old and is the only previous-generation passenger ATR in the airline's fleet. It is currently under maintenance and will be retired in 2025. Afrijet also operates seven ATR72-600s, the ch-aviation fleets module shows. Two of those are owned by the Gabonese government and deployed under the FlyGabon brand.

Afrijet has an outstanding firm order for two more ATR72-600s. The airline's fleet also comprises one ATR72-500(F) and one CRJ900 wet-leased from CemAir (5Z, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo).

Afrijet is majority-owned by the state through Fly Gabon Holding, which has a 56% stake in the airline.
