Widerøe (WF, Bodø) has bought two used DHC-8-400s from De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC, Toronto Downsview), an announcement made during the ongoing 2024 Farnborough Airshow said. The transaction was conducted via Widerøe Asset AS.

Neither the origin of the aircraft nor their delivery dates were disclosed. De Havilland has not manufactured any new Dash 8-400s since June 2021 when D2-TFF (msn 4632) rolled off the production line for TAAG Angola Airlines (DT, Luanda 4 De Fevereiro).

As such, the Norwegian domestic carrier operates ten Dash 8-400s, alongside two DHC-8-300s, three DHC-8-200s, and twenty-three DHC-8-100s. In terms of jets, it runs three E190-E2s.
