NovoAir (VQ, Dhaka) has tapped UK aircraft remarketer and lessor Airstream International Group to sell five ATR72-500s, specifically S2-AJL (msn 600), S2-AHQ (msn 597), S2-AJK (msn 646), S2-AJM (msn 687), and S2-AHF (msn 636). The 1999 - 2002 build aircraft are available for immediate sale.
"We’re delighted to continue our close and longstanding relationship with NovoAir, having recently sold a further two ATR72-500s, msn 805 and 816, on their behalf to Yeti Airlines (YT, Kathmandu)," reads an Airstream statement. Prior to that, Airstream sold NovoAir two ex-flybe. E145s, then subsequently disposed of those planes plus one other E145 to National Airways (Ethiopia). It also helped NovoAir procure its ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprops, which were sourced from Air New Zealand and BQB Líneas Aéreas.
The five ATRs make up the entire NovoAir fleet. CEO Mofizur Rahman told ch-aviation earlier this year that the airline was expecting a pair of A321-200s. NovoAir currently operates daily flights from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar, Saidpur, Chittagong, Jessore, Sylhet, Rajshahi, and Kolkata.
