DV Aviation, a Part 91 aircraft management specialist, has acquired Basin Aviation (Midland Airpark), a Texas-based Part 135 and fixed-base operator (FBO).
In a social media announcement, DV Aviation said the acquisition expanded the company's presence in West Texas, enabling it to offer both charter and FBO services at Midland Airpark. Basin Aviation's Part 135 fleet comprises a Learjet 45XR, a Learjet 75, and two King Air B200s.
In April 2025, Basin Aviation retired the sole Learjet 40XR it operated, removing 15.9-year-old N46MW (msn 45-2126) from the charter certificate. Configured for seven passengers, the aircraft left Midland at the end of February and is now based at Fayetteville Drake. Since March 6, it has been active under the 'DHR' code for Jett Aircraft, following a flight between Grand Cayman Island and Rogers.
Jett Aircraft's Part 135 certificate includes a Learjet 45(XR) and a Learjet 45XR. This Learjet 40XR is the second unit of the type currently operating under Jett Aircraft's ‘DHR’ code, though neither is currently Part 135-certified.
The takeover of Basin Aviation follows DV Aviation's November 2024 merger with Deer Horn Aviation (TXA, Midland International), another Texas-based Part 135 operator whose charter fleet consists of a single King Air B200.
