The administrators of Air Vanuatu (NF, Port Vila) have confirmed receiving expressions of interest in the airline following its filing for voluntary administration in May and suspending all flights.

"We have received interest from a range of parties seeking to resume Air Vanuatu’s operations,” said Ernst and Young's Morgan Kelly. "We’re reviewing these offers and will be working toward a resolution as soon as possible."

Kelly declined to disclose the number and nature of the non-binding offers, but said via a statement that they would now be assessed as part of a structured sale or recapitalisation process to ensure the best outcome for creditors. He also said no decision had been made on when flights might resume.

Prior to ceasing operations, the state-owned carrier connected the small Pacific island nation to Sydney Kingsford Smith, Melbourne Tullamarine, Brisbane International, Nouméa La Tontouta, Nadi and multiple domestic airports.
